Port of Hamina Kotka had the pleasure of hosting as the first stop a FAM Trip for cruise lines organized by Cruise Baltic earlier this week. The guests arrived in Hamina February 28th and were warmly welcomed with a dinner at a local cozy restaurant offering local and organic flavors.

Next morning on February 29th the guests were taken out to see a bit of nature on the frozen sea, and a ride in Hamina Town. The next stop was in Kotka, where the guests were introduced to the diverse history of the city and the urban nature in the winter. A tour on the sea in the ice gave a glimpse of the archipelago of the eastern Gulf of Finland.

As the last leg of the FAM Trip, the group visited the Malmgård Manor as a home visit to the Creutz family before leaving to the airport for the next destination visit in Estonia.

´We had a great opportunity to show the cruise lines the same attractions their cruise guests are interested in. During a very short time we were able to offer the main teasers of venues and tastes of the pearls of our destination, and hope that this experience will lead to new cruise calls in our port,´ says Petra Cranston from Port of HaminaKotka.
