Pia Rimpeläinen started as the new Property Manager of Kotkan Satamatalot Ltd. on 1 July 2026. Previously, she worked as a Property Manager at Kotkan Asunnot Ltd. for more than 20 years.
Mari-Anne Aalto, the long-serving Property Manager of Kotkan Satamatalot Ltd., is retiring, and her last working day will be 10 August 2026. To ensure a smooth transition, Pia has already spent several weeks familiarizing herself with her new responsibilities under Mari-Anne’s guidance.
The port environment is new to Pia, but she finds it very interesting. She says the position offers plenty of opportunities to learn and introduces her to a different customer base compared to her previous work.
“I have started my role as Property Manager with a very positive mindset. The people I have met have been extremely welcoming, and there is a great team spirit throughout the workplace. My onboarding has gone very well, and Mari-Anne has shared a wealth of valuable knowledge gained through her long experience,” says Pia.
Pia lives in Kotka with her husband. She describes herself as being at the beginning of a new phase in life, as the younger of her two sons is also preparing to move out. In her free time, she enjoys a variety of physical activities, as well as boating and gardening.
