Susanna Heikkinen, MBA, Bachelor of Logistics, will start as the Commercial Director of Port of HaminaKotka Ltd on 18 February 2026. She will join the port company from Neste Corporation, where she has worked as the Team Manager Land Logistics EMEA. From Espoo, Susanna Heikkinen has been leading a team which works in Amsterdam and which has commercial responsibility for the storage and processing of Neste’s raw materials and products outside the refineries.
Prior to joining Neste Corporation, Susanna Heikkinen worked at Oiltanking Finland (currently Advario) in 2016–2019 as the Commercial Manager of the operations in Kotka and Hamina and as a member of the terminal management team. Prior to this, she worked at Nurminen Logistics from 2003 in several different forwarding and sales positions.
Susanna Heikkinen is expecting the position of Commercial Director with positive anticipation.
“In a way, my new work means a return to my roots. The Port of HaminaKotka will start the year under the leadership of a new CEO, and I am looking forward to the future. Of course, the global political situation is also reflected in challenges in the port, and there is certainly a lot of work ahead,” Susanna Heikkinen says.
Susanna Heikkinen is the mother of a son who will soon be 12 years old. She lives with her family in Kotka. In recent years, she has had unfortunately little time for hobbies, but she hopes that physical exercise and reading will again be part of her everyday life.
