The Port of HaminaKotka is the biggest container port in Finland, with daily connections to all significant oceanic ports in Europe. Almost half of all container transport to and from Finland is carried through HaminaKotka.
The location of the port at the interface between the European Union and Russia, beside the E18 motorway and rail connections offers competitive and safe transport routes to all directions. The drive from HaminaKotka to Helsinki only takes about an hour. The distance to Moscow is approx. 1,000 km and to St Petersburg only 250 km.
The service range available at the Port of HaminaKotka is more versatile than at any other seaport in Finland. The services have been built to respond effectively to the needs of different kinds of customers. The Mussalo Container Terminal is the biggest container terminal in Finland and one of the busiest of its kind on the Baltic Sea. All container terminal services are available from a single source.
The Container Terminal hosts a variety of different types of warehouses for the handling, containerisation and storage of export and transit goods. Most warehouses are served by a rail connection.
